Hi, I know a company looking to build a roster of greeters for rotating coverage of one arrival:
Emirates #225, usually around 1:45-2:00 pm landing by the international "A" gates. Usually 20-40 guests.
You work with a partner greeter, one inside the terminal and one near the curbside limo area, and also a car service manager is often on site.
If you want it to be a steady job you can ask for whatever days of the week you want to be "yours," if available, or you can just go with "call me when you need a greeter. "
Job is to greet first and business class "guests" who have chauffeur service included.
Some guests have a chauffeur inside the terminal, others get curbside pickup.
Need to work via cellphone, use that tiny handheld computer 😄.
Tablet is ok too, but keep your cellphone handy. Physical pieces of paper is not "the look" for this job.
Black suit, white shirt, black shoes (no sneakers).
Use the company greeter website to check the box when guest presents. If it's "inside greet" you don't need to call the chauffeur, but if it's a curbside pickup you call the chauffeur.
Can get a little more complicated at the end of the shift if you have to find backup drivers, but it's manageable.
I charge flat $200 + transit cost. Fyi other greeters might get paid hourly, so I don't discuss rates with any partner greeters who are not Guild members.
They need greeters on a rotating, on-call basis, and I value the income from this gig. It's a staffing company called Perq Soleil. They staff greeters at several US airports.
