Illuminate Live is bringing more than 125 musical acts to the Golden Gate Bandshell as part of its annual free outdoor-concert series, which runs through mid-November.

San Francisco musician Davia Schendel used to attend shows at the Golden Gate Bandshell as a child.

Later this month, she’ll take that same stage as part of its sixth annual free-concert series.

“I am incredibly honored and excited to be playing at the band shell for many reasons,” said Schendel, who will headline a three-act set on March 18 that also features musical acts Louiza and Anna May.

Schendel is among more than 125 musical acts that will perform at the Music Concourse in Golden Gate Park through mid-November as part of Illuminate Live, an outdoor series that brings together Bay Area musicians for jam-packed lineups.

The series, which kicked off March 1, takes place most Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays, along with select Saturdays and special occasions. The musical acts cover genres including folk, reggae, psychedelic rock and jazz. (The full lineup is available here.)
